I aggree with Elonian Leather squares but also save up the normal stuff like wood and cloth, maybe a few parchment.

you can never go wrong with the basics...cloth, hides, iron, dust.....thats why they are basic. The rare stuff.....hmmm, I would never have forseen monstrous stuff being needed in factions so I cant help you there. Though I am happy they found a use for the ink I have made (made it before I knew that tats wouldnt need it.....but never sold it!).....so the clay bricks are a shoe in!
